This tester reports the actual browser-visible input generated by your mouse, including standard and remapped button actions.

DPI / RGB HARDWARE INPUT

Press the DPI or RGB hardware control while this diagnostic area is focused. If the mouse or its software exposes that control as a standard mouse, pointer or keyboard event, it will appear in the raw event history. DPI switching and RGB lighting controls are often handled entirely by mouse firmware or vendor software, so no browser event may exist. V3 does not label an event as DPI or RGB unless the browser actually provides identifying information.

Online Mouse Button Tester

Use the diagnostic zone to verify clicks, held buttons, movement and wheel input. Context-menu behavior is suppressed inside the test zone so the right mouse button can be checked cleanly.

Mouse Tester FAQ

Can this test extra gaming mouse buttons?

Yes. Any button exposed by your browser is added dynamically as Button 5, Button 6 and higher.

Can it detect DPI or RGB buttons?

DPI and RGB controls can only produce a visible result here when the mouse or its software exposes a standard browser-visible input event. Many gaming mice handle these controls internally in firmware or vendor software, so a webpage may receive no event.

Why are Back and Forward blocked in the test area?

The tester cancels browser mouse actions inside the diagnostic zone where the browser allows cancellation so auxiliary buttons can be tested safely.
